Stars Ride the Subway Too

There are few downfalls to living in New York City. Other than the occasional shootings, muggings and murders your parents tell you about but never really witness, riding the subway is close to the top of my list.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for public transportation. In fact, the fewer cars on the street honking at me while I cross when I'm not supposed to, the better. However, between the wretched stink, palpable germs and sweaty, sticky summer rides, I can't help but dread the thirty minute commute up and downtown every day.

In light of my disdain and the random spotting of Tyra Banks and Clay Aiken riding the rail yesterday, I figured I would compile together photos of all the famous underground enthusiasts. You can see their sad attempts to appear normal are usually ruined with photographic proof of their "green living." You know, like these:

Tyra Banks and Clay Aiken

Odd couple much? Props to them for trying to pull the whole sunglasses thing, but we know. Well, except for that oblivious guy seated adjacent.

Madonna

Madonna

I probably wouldn't recognize her sporting the greasy hair with no boy toy in sight. But hey, that's just me.

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves

It's quite obvious it's him. It's also quite obvious that chick next to him is playing "cool" while texting everyone she knows.

Lindsey Lohan and Samantha Ronson

They strangely fit right in, huh? The one dude is so over it, he took a nap.

Beyonce

Beyonce

Um, perfect hair and makeup. No sweat. No crowd. Yeah, this was definitely staged.

Claire Danes

Claire Danes

Reaing a script, perhaps? I gotta say, she played the part of an intellectual boho-clad villager very welll.

Taylor Momsen

Taylor Momsen

Just another fashionista pretending to be important. Although, I do relish the fact that it's old Little J and not I'm-such-a-badass-Taylor with ripped leggings and pounds of eyeliner.

Rudy Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani

FDNY hat, check. Yankees jacket, check. Creepy onlookers, check. Nice photo opp, former Mr. Mayor.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman

See. Now this is endearing. He's with his kids and looks...well, jacked. Psh I know, such a girl thing to say.
