A former employee of Bad Boy Entertainment is suing Diddy (formally known as Sean Combs) on age discrimination charges. 51-year-old Francesca Spero filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, saying the hip-hop mogul fired her because of her older age, even though she was instrumental in launching his career twenty years ago.
Francesca claims that she introduced Diddy to big shot Russell Simmons and Uptown Records in 1998, which was imperative to Diddy’s career. Francesca worked for Diddy's company Bad Boy Entertainment as a top executive for twelve years, and was fired this past March. She believes her termination was a result of her hip surgery and confiding to a fellow executive that she was being treated for drug dependency.
Diddy’s camp says “there are many reasons why Ms. Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not one of them.” Ouch.
On the bright side, at least he’s not being sued for sexual harassment like everyone else in the celeb world.
