Joe Cornish is a totally cool dude. Last year, when Ology went to New York Comic Con, Cornish, John Boyega and Luke Treadaway spoke to fans of the audience favorite Attack the Block. Despite the film's paltry take in across the nation, those who saw it can agree that it was one of the best movie's of last summer. It's with great pleasure that I announce that Cornish is writing and directing once again, this time he's adapting the sci-fi book Snow Crash.

Let's ignore the fact that the title Snow Crash could use some work. Written by Neal Stephenson, the story itself sounds pretty incredible. I mean, the main character's name is Hiro Protagonist. I can't tell if it's the most unoriginal or the most creative thing I've ever heard. Anyway it's very dystopian and criminal and will probably be super epic.
According to Deadline:
"The U.S. exists as a patchwork of corporate-franchise city-states, and private enterprise and the mafia control everything. The plot involves a computer virus that is manifested as a drug called Snow Crash that is transmitted visually from computer screens to unsuspecting users, frying their brains."
Um, sign me up. This sounds awesome, I might even read the book. God speed, Cornish. You totally got this.
Have you read Snow Crash? Who would you like to see cast as Hiro?
