Lucy Hale, the actress best known for playing Aria on the hit ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars, is going to be an actress AND singer now. Celebuzz has reported that the 23-year-old has signed a record deal with Hollywood Records, the company that represents other young entertainers like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. How original.
In a statement, the actress said, "I’m overjoyed and honored to become a member of the Hollywood Records family. I’ve admired the careers they’ve made and can’t wait to see how my musical path is paved out. I’d just like to thank Ken Bunt (Executive Vice President of Disney Media Group) and everyone involved for giving me the chance to show a whole different side of myself, which is a huge passion for music."
Although most of us have probably never heard her sing, Lucy has been performing in the public eye since she was a young girl. The Memphis native appeared on the short-lived American Idol spin-off American Juniors in 2003. Check out the video here!
She sounds pretty good, but her voice it probably a lot different today! Are you guys excited for Lucy’s music career?
