Social media newbie Pinterest drew its first 10 million users faster than any other website in history, so it's no surprise that brands- especially those of the fashion variety- are joining in on the platform with a quickness. According to Mashable, retailers you wouldn't necessarily expect to be social media savvy (like Neiman Marcus, Barneys and Nordstrom) are already on top of their game, with over 24,000 followers combined and posts about everything from street style to cocktail recipes. The article says that four out of five of the top retailers on Pinterest are fashion retailers, which means a new advertising angle has officially emerged. With a $1.5 billion dollar evaluation, it looks like Pinterest is a game changer, and that the winner will be whoever's got the most style.
