Robert Pattinson has finally surfaced and as expected, yes Jon Stewart, you and the Twilight actor did both trend on Twitter late Monday night. Pattinson made his first appearance since the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal surfaced and as viewers saw, he definitely chose the right platform at The Daily Show to do so. Though some may say he seemed a bit awkward at first, it's clear that the witty and adorable Rob seemed prepared for the inevitable comments. After all, it's been proven that some Ben & Jerry's will do that to a person.

During the brief interview, Jon got right to the point by pulling out some ice cream, as he tried his best to get some reaction out of him. "Obviously, what have you been up to?" he started. "I had a joke. I was all set up and ready to go. Goddamn it!" RPattz cleverly replied.
Though Stewart carries the same last name as the Snow White and the Huntsman actress and oh yeah, his office doesn't own a freezer apparently (that melting ice cream!) Rob seemed to get more relaxed with each passing comment. "We're just a couple of gals…tell me everything!" Jon joked. "This is a program where I can feel awkward in every situation…I'm trying to avoid eating!" Rob quipped back because of his Spanx dilemma. Yes, spanx.
Other mentions of the scandal included Rob admitting he was cheap and should of hired a publicist and "I don't know how to approach this. This is the weird thing about these interviews. I'm going to sound like an idiot." For those who watched, clearly we know that wasn't the case.
With one interview under his belt and many more that continued during his promotion of Cosmopolis later that night, Rob is clearly moving forward. Hopefully once everything settles the actor won't have to worry about such questions and go on toward a long and successful career that we all know he'll have. As Jon put it best to him, "Here's my wish for you. I know you're going through some weird business. Get a handle on your business in private. I wish you all the best. You're a nice guy!"
