Cash Money Records Sign Paris Hilton, Becomes The Ultimate Bottom Feeder
Well, when Birdman and crew over at Cash Money Records signed Limp Bizkit a year or so back, I figured that they couldn't really sink much lower; turns out they can, as they announced this sad, foul afternoon that they have now signed Paris Hilton with the intention of releasing her house music album this summer... Digest that for a minute. Yes, it's bad enough that someone actually acknowledged Paris Hilton, but what's worse is that she's actually working her way back into the music industry (despite the fact that she has absolutely no talent). Here's what she had to say on her upcoming project: "This is a lot different than my first album. It’s really going to be house music." She's reported to be working with Afrojack, who she's also frequently reported to be banging, so there's a detail about who's working behind the...

Juicy J Says He's Recording 75 Songs For 'Stay Trippy'
Following his career revamp with "Bandz A Maker Her Dance," his dominant presence on Rihanna's "Pour It Up" remix with Jeezy, Rozay and Tip (in my opinion), and the success of his recent "Show Out" single (I prefer the Pimp C-included remix), it's safe to say that Juicy J is in a solid stride, and with the release of his long-awaited album Stay Trippy nearing, he decided to share some words on what's going on in the back end. Here's what he said in an interview on That Life with Carissa Rossi: "I got over 75 songs recorded, so I just recorded a bunch of songs with a lot of different people. It wasn't like this person had to be on this one or that person had to be on that one. I was just doing songs. I would go in the studio and say, 'Let's do a song.' Sometimes I release stuff on the Internet. Sometimes I may save it for an album. It was jus...

DJ Khaled Reunites Nas, DJ Premier And Scarface On "Hip-Hop"

So, if you caught the previous update on DJ Khaled's upcoming album Kiss the Ring, then you don't need this; however, if you managed to miss it (which is reasonable to believe), I'll reiterate a previous thesis statement: DJ Khaled isn't much for a musician, but his ability to bring our favorite artists together for collaborations is impeccable, as can be seen in this latest leak titled "Hip-Hop" that reunites Nas, Scarface and DJ Premier for what I'll give the cosign as one of the best songs of the year (not that my cosign really means anything in the big picture).

The density of the narration throughout "Hip-Hop" is rightly described as unrivaled, and for everyone out there saying that the genre needs to reroute itself towards a Renaissance of its roots, this one should give you the fix. Of course, it takes three of hip-hop's greatest veterans (Khaled excluded) to make it happen, but exceptional is too-less of a word to even begin describing what we have here.

Khaled has myriad major features for his upcoming project, so it's probably fair to expect more quality in proximity to this. Here's "Hip-Hop," give it a listen, throw up your thoughts. Kiss the Ring drops August 21.
