'Top Chef: Seattle' Poll: Did You Like Last Night's Twist?
Just because I'm not recapping Top Chef Seattle every week this season doesn't mean I don't care. In fact, I'm more invested than ever... especially after last night's reveal of returning chetestants. Don't get me wrong, I don't typically enjoy shows bringing back old castmembers just for ratings, but in this case, I was a bit excited. While this cast seemed a lot more tolerable than last year's group of misfits, I still felt like there was something missing. Namely, eye candy. So when the quickfire guest judges - C.J. (season 3), Stefan (season 5) and Josie (season 2) - put on their chef jackets to return to the competition, I was happy. C.J. is a force to be reckoned with and he's not too bad on the ey...

'Top Chef Masters' Recap: "What Would Brian Boitano Do?"

Sharon Tharp
Top Chef

Last week: Debbie packed her knives and I forgot to watch. Oops.

Quickfire Challenge
The chefs must cook seafood without any heat or fire. Everyone immediately realizes Takashi has a huge advantage. Brian Boitano is the guest judge... apparently he's an Olympic figure skater? Brian really enjoyed the dishes made by Mark and Chris, but he chooses Takashi. No one is surprised really. He wins immunity.

Elimination Challenge
The chefs will be working in teams to make a three-course meal on a Teppanyaki grill (hibachi-style). They get 30 minutes per three-man team, which is tight. Not to mention, they will be cooking while the judges watch their every move -- including former Master Chef contestants Rick Moonen, Susan Feniger, Jonathan Waxman and some other chef whose name I forget (sorry!).

It's actually really fun to watch the chefs cook hibachi-style. Maybe it's because I love Japanese food, but it's probably one of the better Top Chef challenges I've seen.

Critics' Table
Thierry, Chris and Art are called in first to learn they had the best dishes. The winning chef is Art! He's shocked since last week was "Cakegate" and he screwed up someone's wedding cake. Mark, Kerry and Lorena are called in as the bottom three. Don't send Lorena home! She's hilarious. In the end, Mark is asked to pack his knives. So sad! He and Clark are adorbs.

SumOlogy: One of the better Top Chef Masters episodes I've seen.

Grade: A-
