Guys, I'm almost done with the third book in the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy! Woo hoo! I know, pathetic. Especially because these books SUCK SO MUCH (yes, really) that it has taken me months to even get through them. But I'm one of those people that has to finish something she started. Even if it means reading the same exact sex scene 100 times over.
Because so many of you reacted to my casting choices for the sought-after roles of Christian Grey and Ana Steele, I figured, hell, let's keep this thing going. At the very least, so that my reading wasn't a complete waste.
Which it was. But nevertheless, let's talk about who should and could play the sexy cougar character of Elena Lincoln. Otherwise known as Christian's "Mrs. Robinson."
Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments!
Kim Cattrall Claim to Fame: She played the famous role of Samantha Jones on Sex in the City. Or so I'm told. I never watched an episode, to be honest. Why: She's incredibly gorgeous and she really impressed me in Meet Monica Velour last year, an indie flick about a washed-up porn star who seduces a young boy. Why Not: She's been laying low for a while. She may be over the franchise thing.
Michelle Pfeiffer Claim to Fame: Where to begin? Scarface, Married to the Mob, Dangerous Minds, One Fine Day. And let's not forget Grease 2. Please let's not forget Grease 2. Why: We've seen her play the seductress before and she's pretty damn good at it. Why Not: Could you picture her in the role? Meh. I'm indifferent about it.
Diane Lane Claim to Fame: The Outsiders. HELLO. Oh, and that movie about that storm. Why: She's gorgeous and one of the better actresses on this list. Why Not: She won't get butts in the seats. Remember that Nicholas Sparks flop, Nights in Rodanthe? Even Dear John made money.
Elizabeth Hurley Claim to Fame: Hugh Grant's ex-girlfriend and Austin Powers, I guess. Why: Even though she's annnoying as hell on Gossip Girl, it's not hard to believe Christian Grey would be infatuated with her. Why Not: She's not a great actress.
Courteney Cox Claim to Fame: If I have to tell you, then we can't be friends. (Hah, get it?) Why: She's popular enough to bring in a different audience. And we've seen her play the hot bitchy character in films like The Longest Yard and Scream. Why Not: People still think of her as Monica Gellar-Bing and nothing else.
Emily Cheever:
This is so hard! part of me wants to say elizabeth hurley because I could be totally game for her comeback but I'd have to settle on Diane Lane because she's hot as f*ck.
