“Is this even a fair question? Favorite psychological thrillers? There are so many! but I suppose if I had to narrow it down to three they'd be Identity, The Sixth Sense (Kind of cliché?), and Shutter Island. Identity is my absolute favorite because of how the movie is split between two realities that you think at first are directly related to each other somehow, until you find out that one isn't a reality at all. I just think that movie makes psychological thrillers because you actually were inside this tortured and murderous man's head; watching how he has coped with his life and redirected all the traumatic events that happened to him into these people that seem so real. I was blown away by that movie and it's ending is one that has you slumped in your seat thinking about the things our minds are capable of. Also, the book was brilliant as well. Do I even really have to explain why I love The Sixth Sense? He was dead the whole time! Shutter Island was beautiful. Leo won an oscar in my heart for that movie. I was so convince by his character's genuine fear and confusion that I almost wanted to believe that it was all some kind of hoax to make him feel crazy. But what really got me was that last line "Which would be worse? To live as a monster, or die as a good man?" Says it all... I was speechless. Maybe any psychological thriller with Leo in it is one I also love? And for the record I also love, Fight Club, The Matrix, Donnie Darko,The Butterfly Effect and all those other classics. JS”

“My favorite is the classic Hitchcock, Psycho. I know it may be passé to choose this one, but even after the shower scene, the build up to the climax of the movie is one of the most tense, most "make you wonder" set of scenes in any movie I have seen since. I always compare all psychological thrillers and dramas to this movie and to how it made me feel when I watched it.”

Channing Tatum and a psychological thriller--what else could you possibly ask for? Side Effects, the film starring Tatum, Rooney Mara, and Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, comes out on Blu-ray and DVD May 21, and we've got 3 DVD copies to give out!  For those who haven't seen, Side Effects tells the story of Emily Taylor (Mara) undergoes bizarre side effects after her psychiatrist (Law) prescribes her a certain drug. But--as any other thriller--there are way more shockers and twists. (Especially one scene that will make you absolutely gasp.) The story line isn't necessarily what you think, and will have you talking long after the credits roll.    So, what are your favorite psychological thrillers? Check it out everyone! You could win a copy of the 2011 hit Margaret! FOX Home Entertainment is giving away 2 Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Packs of the film and you have the chance to win one of them! 

The drama Margaret is about a young woman, Lisa Cohen, who witnesses a bus accident and is suddenly thrown into the aftermath. The involvement brings up questions and reflections on whether or not the incident was intentional, ultimately affecting many lives around her. Starring True Blood's Anna Paquin, Matt Damon and Mark Ruffalo, the film is directed by Kenneth Lonergan and is a must see.

David Hollingsworth: I wouldn't say I'm deserving of this film, but I would love to see it because I'm a huge fan of Kenneth Lonergan's, especially seeing his exquisite "You Can Count on Me", and "Margaret" looks like another masterpiece of his to see. Plus, Anna Paquin is amazing in everything she has ever done; she makes it look so effortlessly, and it would be nice to see her is something very challenging/cathartic.

Kevin Barney: I saw the 3 hour version of this last night. Kenneth Lonergan and Anna Paquin did a Q&A afterwards. I would love to watch this again while listening to the director's commentary. Would also love to read the 400 page initial draft of the screenplay.

Chuck Zigman : I've seen the movie twice, and I think it's probably the best movie of the last ten or fifteen years. Finally, there's a new movie where every moment isn't pre-chewed -- a movie where the characters act and behave like real people. It's absolutely brilliant. My DVD shelf has a void that can only be filled by a "Margaret" combo pack.
