Call me a slow poke, but I literally just discovered how awesome Lana Del Rey — or Elizabeth Woolridge Grant — is. And yes, I had probably stumbled upon her name a trillion times way before her stunning strut at the Met Gala and still had absolutely no interest in looking her up (God knows why!), but needless to say, I'm officially hooked. Whether it is her husky, soulful voice, her characteristic facial features (those lips!) or her talented making of music videos by meshing unrelated antique footage together, Del Rey's old-Hollywood-meets-stoned-modern-pin-up-gir package (with a drop of awkwardness) has totally captivated my heart — and I don't care what you haters have to say about her lip implants or SNL bullshit!
Anyhow, just in time of the release of her latest music video "National Anthem," where she plays the forever fashion icon Jackie O while rapper A$AP Rocky plays JFK, what's a better time than now to grab inspiration from her "Blue Jeans" Style?
