Hey guys, everyone should freak out RIGHT NOW because here's a picture of ANGELINA JOLIE ACTING. Where would be be without this? How could we survive not knowing if Angelina Jolie could rock a pair of contacts and SFX cheekbones? Thank God this photo exists because I probably would have questioned everything I knew about humanity.
Actually, I had no idea that this movie was still happening. There's always been the rumors that Angie wanted to play Maleficent but now as it turns out the film (aptly titled Maleficent) started shooting in Britain last week. Also, Elle Fanning's in it. And the totally hot and underrated Sam Riley. And Juno Temple? Wow. Maybe this movie isn't going to follow in the tired and boring Snow White and the Huntsman footsteps.
I kind of wish they went less literal for Maleficent though. She does look great, don't get me wrong, but she also looks exactly like the evil queen from the stellar 1959 animated classic. Come on, I know we can make a grittier reboot than this. But then again, the first Sleeping Beauty was gritty because it was probably the first curse I've ever heard.
Of course, this is all conjecture, because the film's not set for release until 2014, when that asteroid will probably come and destroy the earth. Of course, lucky for me, I have my track suit ready and I will be riding that thing home to the promise land!
