Ology is a place for you to share your interests and connect with others around the things you love - your favorite hobbies, sports teams, musicians, causes, TV shows…everything.
Back to topAn ology is a community dedicated to a specific interest. Joining ologies helps you meet people with similar interests and keeps you connected and informed about the topics you love.
Back to topThe account dropdown menu is located on the top navigation bar. It contains quick links to important areas and site tools.
Hit the follow button to become a member of an ology. Once you're a member, the button will read "following," and you will start receiving homepage updates on everything that happens in that ology. You can view a list of all the ologies you follow on your profile as well as by clicking the "ologies" link in the navigation bar.
Back to topWhen you want to leave an ology, hover over the ology's follow button, and click it when the wording changes from "following" to "unfollow."
Back to topTo post, click in the open posting field that appears on your Ology homepage, profile, and in ologies. Be sure to add at least one tag that explains what your post is about. Tags help people find your post more easily.

To add pictures, video, or audio to the post you're creating, click on the media icons and either upload or link in the things you want.

Back to topThese three buttons are quick ways to react to the things you see on Ology.
Your Ology profile is the one place where people can see exactly what you're interested in. It allows people to view everything you post as well ologies you've created, who is following you, and the people and ologies you follow. Keep your profile relevant by posting and sharing the latest things you find interesting.

Back to topYes, you can unfollow an ology you created, in the same way you would unfollow any other ology. By unfollowing, you will no longer be listed as a member of that ology, but it will still appear as one of your "Created Ologies" on your profile.
Back to topTo change your password, go to the settings page. Under "Email & Password," enter your new password, confirm it, and click "Save."

There are two ways you can view posts and activity on Ology.
"Activity view" displays everything that's happening in a stream: new posts, new members, reactions, comments, and more.
"Post view" allows you to see only posts in a cool grid layout.
Views tell you how many people have seen your posts. The higher the view count, the better.
